Removal of a Child to be Adopted
While an application for an adoption order is pending and the parent / guardian has agreed to an adoption order being made, that parent / guardian cannot then remove the child from the applicant's home, or home of any other carer if the child is in the care of a local authority, without that persons permission or without a court order.
It is possible to apply for an order for the child's return or to prevent an intended removal. Also search and find orders can be made in the High Court and County Court.
