Which cards do you take?
How do I purchase a document?
Simply browse our Document Centre, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
How are the legal documents delivered?
All our individual documents are available for downloading as soon as your credit or debit card has been charged by WorldPay. The transaction receipt page will contain a link to your document, click on the link and save your document to your hard drive, diskette or CD. If you have purchased more than one document you will see a link for each document purchased. The only exception to this process is where you purchase our Employers Pack. In this case your product activation code will be emailed to you soon after your transaction has been cleared. Please note that the only product sent by post is the CD version of the Employers Pack - all other products are available as downloads only.
What format do the documents come in?
All of our documents are produced in Word (.doc) format so they are compatible with Microsoft Word and most other word processing software.
What operating systems do you support?
Our documents can be accessed using most operating systems, whether you use Windows, Mac, Linux or other operating system our documents will be compatible. Also, if you do encounter any problems we provide technical support as part of your purchase.
What if I fail to download my document or documents?
After your purchase you will receive an email from CompactLaw confirming your purchase and the total price paid, including VAT. This email will also contain a link or links (if more than one document is purchased) to your document. You can download the document again by clicking on the link within the email. Even if you fail to download your document, we can simply email an identical replacement document directly to you.
How long does the link in the email remain active?
The document link or links in your confirmation email remain active for 24 hours after your initial purchase.
What if I do not receive the email?
This rarely happens, but it can happen if an incorrect email address is supplied at the time of purchase or your ISP has email problems at the time of your purchase. Please contact us if you do not receive your confirmation email with a link to your document within 1 hour of your transaction. We will simply email your document direct to you.
Do you have an alternative to paying online?
Yes, you can pay over the phone using your card or by posting a cheque, for further details please see How To Buy
