The Memorandum of Association details the objects of the company, basically what it has been formed to do and are typically drafted to include most commercial activities. Other information includes the company name, registered office, number of shares and the shareholding of each subscriber. This memorandum is for a company limited by shares, (a limited company). A memorandum is one of the documents required by Companies House when forming a company. The memorandum must be signed by each subscriber to the company and their signatures must be witnessed.
